International Nurses’ day Celebrations May, 2023

KARUDEC community recognizes the great work done by the nurses and midwives in Uganda and all over the world. We therefore jointly celebrated their great efforts and achievements towards saving lives especially here at Kagando Hospital. The function was held on 19th May 2023 at the Gardens of Eden Guest House – Kagando.

The chief guest was Rev. Eng. Fataki who thanked God to have met with some of the long time serving health workers at Kagando Hospital some of whom were on duty the day he was born at Kagando Hospital maternity ward.

There was a thanksgiving church service in which all the hospital health workers had to give thanks to God for enabling them to serve the community.

There was alot of fun and entertainment games in which the winners were a warded with prizes.

It was interesting to announce that some of the nurses and midwives amongst the others in the congregation have spend upto to more than 40 years in service. Many prizes were given out to such long time experienced health workers who have served at Kagando Hospital for a very long time and have always offered mentorship to others in differed hospital departments.

A success story was told by one hospital client at the function, a mother who had come with the child that was born at a gestation age of  5 months. This baby boy was cared for in  our Kagando Hospital  Neonatal Intensive care Unit for over 3 months and was later discharged while healthy and doing well. The nurses continued to make followups on the care of this child until now when the child has grown upto the age of 4 years. We give thanks to God who has always enabled us succeed and make such miracles happen for the world to understand His great Power and Love.

We give Special thanks goes to the St. Luke’s Kagando chapel Boys and Girls Brigade Brassband team that was leading in all the day’s activities especially matching, athems and general entertainment.
